Initially, only Hotdogs had qualified for the Championships (Top 54 teams who had done 3 or more races since Easter), but as teams withdrew, Allsorts also became eligible, much to everyone’s relief!! I was beginning to hope that Hotdogs might run Sunday, as I knew there were a few potential problems with Saturday. And then…..disaster! Molly damaged both front paws whilst at Anglesey, and we weren’t sure if she would heal in time. Beau cut his foot in the River Severn on the way home, and then Claire found out she couldn’t get Saturday off. Vicki was in Cornwall. Katie cut her leg, and had 7 staples in. Bryan couldn’t go Saturday, and nor could Kevin!! So I pulled the Hotdogs out, and we went with Archie, Meg, Spencer, Tosh, Molly & Alfie as Allsorts

Allsorts ‘v’ Hotshots (A, Mo, T, Me) Won 3-1 Best time 19.98
Allsorts ‘v’ Brimblecombe Barkers (Me, A, S, A) Won 3-2 Best time 20.66 Lost the 2 legs due to box malfunction!
Allsorts ‘v’ Molton Metals (A, Mo, T,A) Won 3-2 Best time 20.08. Both teams needed to win this race to win the Div. At 2-2, having had a Molly fumble, it was very nerve racking!! But we managed to keep it together and won 3-2
So we came 1st in Div 7. We all had rosettes, food & pow wow. And as team captain, I was given the perpetual cup & a voucher for a free photo from Nick Ridley! The dogs raced well, and Harvey got some good starts (so did Pete!!), and held his passes off Meg, when she went first, so he did really well!
And I think it will be congratulations to Pete & Meg on gaining their Gold Award. A particularly well deserved award for Meg who’s flyball career hasn’t gone smoothly! Well Done!
