Again, we were in the Same Div (3), being seeded 4th and 5th . Having arrived in plenty of time (they hadn't started Div 4), we were able to find 2 box loaders! Judith loaded for Bassett Allsorts all day, and Long John kindly ended up loading for Bassett Hotdogs all day, and that made life so much easier (for Robert & I!!). Allsorts had Ollie, Beano, Tosh, Beau & Badger, and Hotdogs had Molly, Abby, Monty, Rosie & Breeze on stand by.
Race 1: Ollie, Beano, Badger, Tosh, 'v' Molly, Abby, Monty, Rosie - Hotdogs had their revenge on Allsorts from last week, and no dogs went wrong. So Hotdogs WON 3-0, best time 19.81. Allsorts best time 20.02
Race 2: Bassett Allsorts 'v' Nuneaton. Dodgers - Beau was swapped in for Badger, and continued with the day's racing, and we WON 3-0, best time 19.97
Race 3: Bassett Hotdogs 'v' Barkshire Bullets - Bullets were on top form today, we lost 3-0, best time 19.51
Race 4: Bassett Allsorts 'v' Barkshire Bullets - Allosrts turn to be thrashed as well! Lost 3-0, best time 19.43
Race 5: Bassett Hotdogs 'v' Molton Metals - Oopsy Poopsy! Having just got a leg back, making it 2-2, Monty had an accident in the ring, and so the leg was awarded to Molton. Lost 3-1, best time 20.08
Race 6: Bassett Allsorts 'v' Bristol Ballistic E.- Dogs going well (handlers too!) WON 3-0, best time 20.47
Race 7: Bassett Hotdogs 'v' Nuneaton Dodgers - Not sure what started to go wrong - lost 3-1, best time 21.06
Race 8: Bassett Hotdogs 'v' Bristol Ballistic E. - Again things didn't go well - lost 3-1, best time 20.93
Race 9: Bassett Allsorts 'v' Molton Metals - This race was going to decide 2nd & 3rd places, so both teams needed to win! Ollie apparently was 'interfering' on completion of his run, so Chris (judge) had quiet words with him! Unfortunately he did it a second time, so we were 1-1. Chris asked if we had extra helpers, but we decided to put Ollie last, where the problem shouldn't happen, and all was OK, and we WON 3-1, best time 19.69
So Allsorts came 2nd, with a best time of 19.43, and Hotdogs came 6th, best time 19.51. All in all, a good day's racing! (Spencer didn't think so!!)
