There must have been a fair bit on this weekend (weddings, work etc!) as I only managed to get 6 dogs together. We went as Allsorts, Molly, Spencer, Breeze, Eddie, Lady and Ben.
Thinking we had Toddy in the team, and that with the 4 Divs, we would be in a suitable division; I didn't change our seed time. As it was, Toddy (due to illness) was unable to come, and because so few teams entered, there was only 2 Divs, and we ended up in Div 1!
I decided to swap the dogs around, to give all of them roughly an equal amount of racing. Spencer didn't run in the first race, so giving Molly a chance to settle indoors. She was fine. We lost to Back on Track 3-1. We then pulled in Spencer as third dog. Molly's first run was full of twirls before she set off, she then settled for the second, and finally lost it in the third! We lost to the Bristol Ball-istics 3-0. Next we gave Molly a rest, and put Spencer first. This caused problems with the box, but Rachel coped with it extremely well! Again we lost to 4 Bad Dogs 3-0.
In the afternoon, Dave and Chris swapped dogs! And after a small hiccup or two, Molly ran well for Dave, as did Spencer for Chris! We lost our 4th race against Jumping Jacks 3-0, and finally with Ben in the team (and I hoped our fastest combination) we actually won our first and only race of the day. I had hoped we would be close on times with the K9'ers, but didn't think we would really manage to beat them! But due to flags incurred by the K9'ers, and we stayed calm (Us, calm?!), we won 3-1! So we came 5th over all in Div 1, with a best time of 21.16 secs. It was nice to end the day with a win!
In between racing, we were collared for line/box judging, and Andy judged.
