Chris and Dave, Robert and Kay all went along on Friday, and I arrived early on Saturday morning to camp. The venue was lovely, with nice dog walks by the river, a club house with facilities, and a nice flat, mown field!
We only had the one team with 5 dogs. We had some good close racing, and all the dogs were running well, despite the hot weather. Molly, Monty and Breeze shared the racing (and handlers shared the box loading!), while Spencer and Abby kept going (not sure how the handlers faired there though). All the races were very close, with all but two going to 5 legs. We managed to beat N. Bytes in 3 legs, and Melton Foxes were having problems, so we beat them in 3 legs. So overall we came 3rd in Div 3, with a best time of 19.99!
Breeze and Monty went on to do pairs Cleverdogs. They put in an excellent qualifying time (they both managed to get it right on the same run - something which doesn't usually happen!), which seeded them 1. What an achievement!! Our 'luck' ran out there. I think we possibly came last (we didn't go to prize giving - we went and ate our B-B-Q cooked by Dave!). Abby paired up with Jack(?) and came 7th, we think! (Sorry the food came first!)
